Pit Garage overhead gantry

Three overhead gantries are located in the roof of the pit garages. Electrical, Tyre Blanket leads and air is supplied to the race car, to keep the floor clear for mechanics to work. Each overhead consists of two separate carbon fibre bodies, which slide together to reduce their size for freight.

The overheads also direct light onto the car and house the drivers timing screens. The units hang from a Trilight structure which is enclosed in carbon covers which houses tyre warmer blanket connectors. Three units were built in 1997 and are still in use, TEN years later..
