McLaren F1 'GT' front

In 1994 Gordon Murray asked Andy to develop some variations on the McLaren F1. One of the concepts was inspired by the old McLaren M7 Can-Am cars.

In 1997 McLaren launched a 'long' version of the F1, called the GT, its main job was to keep the F1 competitive in GT racing. The front of the GT used Andy's design.

These concepts, along with the Gulf and West liveries led to a job offer at the McLaren Group in 1995
