I was recently commissioned by Ryan Hardwick and business partnerDustin Farthing, to create a livery for their two car Lamborghini Huracán Super Trofeo entry in the 2017 Lamborghini Super Trofeo North American championship. Two of four liveries in this years series.
Dustin is a 17 time Nation and World pro-class Water sports champion. With his transition to auto-racing, his Dustin’s Huracán will feature Monster Enegery sponsorship and carry the iconic bright green accents on a Matte Black base with a cool interesting Chrome Black finish.
I chose to keep the design relatively clean and am using some of the cool form and creases of the supercar for the location of the accents.
I am pleased to announce another additional to SpotterGuides.com. Commissioned by Lamborghini Squadra Corse, the Super Trofeo European Spotter Guide will debut for this weekend’s races at Paul Ricard and join its North American couterpart at SpotterGuides.com
You can download the European Spotter Guide HERE, while the North American guide will be updated and released on Monday for the Watkins Glen event.
For those going to Watkins Glen, each of the championships running will have its own Official Spotter Guide including the debut of the Pototype Lites Spotter Guide.
Dr Jim Norman is a successful race driver, but more importantly is the most experienced parathyroid surgeon in the world and is considered the “father” of mini-parathyroid surgery. Jim has competed in Grand Am and the TUDOR United SportsCar Championship including a class win at the 2013 Rolex 24 Hours of Daytona.
Jim will be adding to his TUDOR GTD endurance race duties by joining the 2015 Lamborghini Super Trofeo Series in his all-new ‘Bad Lambo Racing‘ Lamborghini Huracán LP 620-2.
Jim contacted me asking for a livery which would stand out and be visually strong enough to work so that kids would want to put a poster of this car up in their bedroom, just like many of us (older ones!) did in the 70’s and 80’s. These images shared by Jim on his social networks show the car being wrapped.
Run by Bad Lambo Racing in associated with Park Place Motorsports, Jim will be joined in the Huracán by his 21-year-old son, Josh Norman, who is making his IMSA racing debut.
Bad Lambo Racing provides Jim a platform to educate people about the dangers of high blood calcium, an under-diagnosed sign of parathyroid gland tumors.
IMSA racer, Dr. Jim Norman will be racing a Lamborghini Huracan Super Trofeo when he isn’t being a doctor or racing the Park Place Porsche. Jim shared this Work in Progress image of the Huracan on Facebook, so had to share it here. The idea is to make this stand out on the grid with the car body breaking up to expose vibrant lava or blood.
High Blood Calcium is BAD.com is bringing awareness to High Blood Calcium. You can read more about this at highbloodcalciumisbad.com Its well worth a read.
The design has evolved a little in the past few days, Stay tuned for an updated image.
