As the title says, the 2016 Dunlop Le Mans Spotter Guide has been updated following two days of Scrutineering in the town of Le Mans. Thanks to some helpful teams and photographers, along with less changes than previous years, I’ve been able to release V2 earlier than ever. Full details including change list on the dedicated SpotterGuides.com page here.

Tthe ELMS guide is set to showcase the dominance of the Nissan P2 power plant with EVERY prototype except one using the Japanese engine! Nissan have released their revolutionary weapon for the 24Hr of Le Mans and the World Endurance Championship as part of their Superbowl advert segment. I was fortunate to be commissioned to create some illustrations for their press pack which was created by Paul Ryan Media.
Using a selection of images and renders, but no scale elevations, I was tasked with creating side and plan view illustrations of their new GTR-LM P1 machine in a very tight deadline. Produced entirely in Adobe Illustrator, this vector drawing has been built up in sections so elements can be viewed or more importantly hidden by a click of the mouse.
In addition the artwork for the wheel was then used with some of my other existing artwork for the Michelin Press release at the end of the press pack. Continue Reading

I was fortunate to be asked to contribute to the 2013 GT and Endurance Review book put together by l’endurance and Dailysportscar.com and powered by Nissan. I contributed in a very small way with some illustrations for the Blancpain Endurance Series and World Endurance Championship. The e-book is simply epic and I advise any racing fan to download it for free now.
Ensuring your race team, brand and partner stands out on track in 2014 is more important than ever.
With a premier new championship in North America, brand recognition through a striking team design and livery is important where full or oversubscribed grids will be the norm and multiple classes, of which many will have limited TV exposure. The series has also introduced new number and positon placements which will make livery designs more challenging.
Europe sees similar challenges with new rules in the Prototype class of the WEC taking the headlines and a wide range of GT championships including British GT, Blancpain Endurance Series, FIA GT and GT Open.
2014 is already taking shape for many teams with sponsorship and livery proposals underway. My first 2014 livery will be shown in a couple of weeks.
In preparation, I have built up an extensive selection of four view templates to kick start any livery projects which you commission. The majority of these templates have been created using OEM information and data.
The Spotter Guide series is a very successful project with fan Spotter Guides which can be downloaded free of charge from my other site, SpotterGuides.com As a number of people visit my site looking at these guides, this posts gives you a quick summary of the latest guides. Head over to SpotterGuides.com to download the actual guides.
