Another successful SEMA Show in the books. My tenth visit to the largest automotive aftermarket show in Vegas, SEMA is a trade only show filled with thousands of competition cars and car builds, and this year, an insane 140,000 people.
I have over 90 images of the show on my Instagram feed, which you can view here.
Many series have completed their 2014 season and now the focus is very much on 2015. Andy Blackmore Design will be at the SEMA Show in Las Vegas, in early November, so please do not hesitate to contact Andy if you want to arrange a meet up and discuss plans for the coming year.
I will have a number (currently 10!) of vehicles on display, a mixture of builds like the Speedhunters ‘Maximum Attack Scion FR-S and liveries including the Championship Winning Turner Motorsport BMW Z4.
A Full post covering all the vehicles will appear around SEMA.
So I have been tattooed on someones forearm – sort of!
I co-designed the Mustang RTR-X with its owner and Formula Drift Champion, Vaughn Gittin Jr. a couple of years ago.
Its been pretty amazing how much exposure the car still gets. Anyway, just seen this image on Instagram. Fantastic Tattoo, created from the above image at Willow Springs by Drew Phillips. I’m in the passenger seat, you can just see the peak of my helmet LOL.
I took my now annual trip down, into the States for Formula Drift this past weekend. After a successful debut with Team Need for Speed in 2010, when I won the ‘Best Looking Car’ with Mad Mike Whiddett for the Team Need for Speed Mazda RX-8, I’ve always had a presence in the series.
Andy Blackmore Designed vehicles, once again triumphed in the 2011 Speedhunters Car of the Year Awards.
The Ford Mustang RTR-X won the Muscle Machine of the Year, while the top 3 Pro-Drift Cars all had Andy Blackmore Design vehicle liveries, Matt Powers Nissan S14, Darren McNamara’s Toyota AE86 and Mad Mike’s Mazda RX-7, whose design is a development by Mad Mike of the Mazda RX-8 livery Andy designed in 2010.
The RX-8 won Formula Drift Best Looking Car of the Year and Speedhunter’s Pro-Drift car of the Year in 2010.
