Ken Block’s Ford F-150 ‘Hoonitruck’

One of the best kept secret’s on the net! Earlier today, Ken Block showed off his new GYMKHANA TEN toy, the Ford F150 Hoonitruck.

This is not an ordinary 70’s Ford F150.

I was commissioned to style the vehicle (not the livery though) at the end of 2016, working with a brief and feedback from the Hoonigan team.

2018 update ~ where did that go?

Where did the 2018 season go?  I’ve had the most amazing season, but also easily the busiest, even busier than legendary crunch time on EA games, or back to back race weekends when I was at McLaren many moons ago.

So, with the result of up to14+ cars running on an IMSA weekend in all classes, plus others, the website had to take a back seat. I had to ensure my client work were not compromised.

However, now, I’m starting to update the site so pop back and see some of the liveries I will be highlighting including the Chupacabra P1 Motorsports Mercedes AMG GT3 racecar. More soon.

Pop back tomorrow as a new project I styled for Ken Block and the Hoonigans drops on You Tube. Somehow, its stayed a secret for two years, but this teaser below might give you a clue. All I can say is its bonkers.

Speedhunters: From Concept To Reality-The Hoonicorn RTR Build Story

Formula Drift Maestro, Vaughn Gittin Jr has recently published a detailed build story of Ken Block’s ‘Hoonicorn’ Mustang RTR on Speedhunters.

I was originally contracted by Vaughn to design the look of this all-out extreme 65 Mustang back in 2012. At each stage, the art was reviewed by Vaughn, Ian Stewart of ASD (the car builder) and Ken.

The team required something a little more bad-ass, aggressive and more Mad-Max which ensured I left my comfort zone! The final design is very close to my original concepts.

You can read about the whole process over on Speedhunters.

I have also added images to my Portfolio section of the website.

A fun project to work on which shows the diversity from the Scion Tuner Challenge Scion FR-S and the Mustang RTR-X. Taking bookings for SEMA 2015! 😉

SEMA 2014 in review

The 2014 edition of the SEMA Show in Las Vegas was a very special one for me. The SEMA show is the largest aftermarket automtive show in the world and one of the largest shows of any kind in North America. This trade only event attracts hundred of thousands of trade visitors and thousands of cars.

This year, I had ten designs at the show including thee builds and eight debuts. It was amazing to see all the vehicles made even better with my design for the Scion Tuner Challenge, the ‘Speedhunters Maximum Attack Scion FR-S’ winning the competition and the debut of the Ken Block 1965 Mustang ‘Hoonicorn RTR ‘which I styled.  I hope the variety of designs from the Hoonicorn through to the all new global livery for Maxxis shows the diversity of design which I can create.

More on each vehicle below.
