Additional Nissan vector illustrations

Nissan have recently released a couple of infographics featuring my illustrations.

The image above features a new illustration of the 1991 Spa 24 class winning Skyline R32 GT-R. It was quite hard to find good reliable reference for this and had no scale drawing to work from, so many photos were required to accurately replicate the livery right down to the front brake caliper. The R35 GT-R behind was also updated from launch spec to the Spa 24 identity it will run at the legendary race.

New livery for Vancouver Canucks mascot, FIN

A new livery made its debut on social media earlier this week and publicly in Vancouver during the Canada Day Parade. The ‘FINmobile’ is a modified Ford Transit which is used for the Vancouver Canucks mascot ‘FIN’ to travel around and get ready in.

This joins the Toyota Tundra which is featured in the folio.

EVERY race at IMSA 6 Hours of the Glen has an ‘ABD’ Spotter Guide

Thanks to commissions by IMSA and Lamborghini Squadra Corse, EVERY race at the ‘6hrs of the Glen’ event will have its own Spotter Guide!

All the guides are now available to download on the sister site SpotterGuides.com.

The main IMSA WeatherTech/Continental guide features a number of new liveries for the 4th July weekend including the exclusive reveal of a retro livery for BMW Teal RLL and the recently announced Mazda Prototype liveries celebrating the anniversary of the Le Mans win with the Mazda 787B

As a bonus, you can download a PDF (22Mb) containing all the guides together or download the guides individually on the dedicated pages for :-

IMSA commission Mazda Prototype Lites Spotter Guide

I have recently produced a new IMSA commissioned Spotter Guide to join the existing folio of IMSA Spotter Guides. The Mazda Prototype Lites Presented by Cooper Tires is a feeder prototype series for both IMSA and Mazda through their ‘Mazda Road to 24’ program.

Hard copies of the guide will be available in the Lites paddock, or you can download a guide from its new dedicated Prototype Lites page.

This weekend’s IMSA 6 hours of the Glen will see Spotter Guides for EVERY race, including the main event and Porsche GT3 Cup and Lamborghini Huracan Super Trofeo. These will be released during Monday once various embargos and liveries have been launched.

Lamborghini Super Trofeo European Spotter Guide joins North American counterpart.

I am pleased to announce another additional to SpotterGuides.com. Commissioned by Lamborghini Squadra Corse, the Super Trofeo European Spotter Guide will debut for this weekend’s races at Paul Ricard and join its North American couterpart at SpotterGuides.com

You can download the European Spotter Guide HERE, while the North American guide will be updated and released on Monday for the Watkins Glen event.

Dunlop Le Mans Spotter Guide updated following Scrutineering

As the title says, the 2016 Dunlop Le Mans Spotter Guide has been updated following two days of Scrutineering in the town of Le Mans. Thanks to some helpful teams and photographers, along with less changes than previous years, I’ve been able to release V2 earlier than ever. Dunlop 2016 Le Mans Spotter Guide launched

I am very pleased to announce the 9th Le Mans Spotter Guide has been launched, thanks to a partnership with Dunlop Motorsport.

As with previous years, the guide features all the information you need, be it at home, at La Sarthe itself as a fan, marshal, commentator, media or race engineer. From Driver grading to Pit garage allocation and Twitter handle, everything is covered making this the one resource to have at your fingertips.

The third page of the guide will feature map, timetable and other useful information.

TORA CJ Wilson Racing Cayman Cup Virtual Racing Spotter Guide released.

A new addition to the SpotterGuides.com series with the TORA CJ Wilson Racing Cayman Cup, a virtual race series run by CJ Wilson Racing and TORA, The Online Racing Association. The guide features 42 entries including the guest rides of Marc Miller and Danny Burkett, CJ Wilson Racing’s ‘real-world’ racers in the IMSA Continental Tires SportsCar Challenge.

Vancouver Canucks Livery Design

The Vancouver Canucks recently commissioned me to produce a livery for one of their new Toyota Tundra trucks. The NHL Hockey team wanted a striking and unique design to showcase their new relationship with Toyota and promote their ‘#PlayForThis’
campaign.

Clients, CJ Wilson Racing, Tyler McQuarrie and Safecraft join forces

It is a cool experience when my clients join forces.

GT and Formula Drift racer, Tyler McQuarrie has been a client for many years as has CJ Wilson Racing, the team he has driven for during the past three seasons. Last year, Tyler teamed up with CLP Motorsport, owners of Safecraft Safety Equipment and Nexgen diesel fuel.

I have designed liveries for all three.

Khaled Al Mudaf makes debut in Stadium Super Trucks

Successful GT3 racer Khaled Al Mudhaf made the trip from Kuwait to Long Beach, California this past weekend to take part in his first ever Stadium Super Truck race, support for the Indycar and IMSA event at the same weekend.

I have known Khaled from a few years ago when was was one of the most welcoming people at the Dubai 24Hours.

Khaled reached out to me a few days before the event to confirm he was able to compete and could I design a livery, but they needed to wrap the truck almost immediately. His company, G-Force Auto Worx is a very successful high end tune and build shop in Kuwait with a strong identity featuring a bar-code graphic which was just as well given the time available.

Nexen Tire re-enter Formula Drift as a partner and tire supplier for 2016 and commissioned me to produce a ‘car-toon’ style Spotter Guide having seen my Instagram art of Ford GT and Corvettes earlier this year.

Slipstream Podcast
